Position Summary

We are in search of a Senior Project Manager to enhance our Engineering Services division in our Concord, CA office. This role is pivotal for leadership within the Concord region and offers significant opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple municipal and transportation projects while maintaining client relationships.
  • Lead the design team, ensuring the successful development and delivery of municipal infrastructure project plans and specifications.
  • Formulate and execute budgets, construction estimates, and timelines.
  • Facilitate public meetings, including presentations to governing officials.
  • Address tasks as assigned by the Owner while nurturing client relationships.
  • Independently coordinate the efforts of engineers and manage the planning team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee staff coordination and workload management to ensure timely completion of project documentation.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical leadership to drive business development initiatives.
  • Engage with the Project Management Team and Business Unit Leader for project evaluations.
  • Participate in reviews with various regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects, adjusting team efforts to meet established schedules.
  • Some travel may be necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • California Professional Engineering license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in project management.
  • Experience in municipal, roadway, sewer, or stormwater projects is essential.
  • Strong client and project management abilities are required.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while providing guidance and mentorship to design engineers.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with effective time management.
  • Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of personnel and resources.
  • Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range is $160K-$185K based on experience.
