We are currently seeking a Project Engineer with a focus on water resources to become a vital part of our Design & Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in project design and permitting processes, ensuring effective construction coordination and communication.
- Design and develop systems for water transmission, distribution, pumping stations, sanitary sewer conveyance, storm drainage, and water treatment.
- Assist in the creation and evaluation of engineering plans, specifications, legal documents, and proposals.
- Participate in meetings with clients, governmental bodies, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all project requirements.
- Conduct site visits for data collection and project assessments as necessary.
- Act as a liaison between various municipalities and private engineers, developers, and the public.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of sub-consultants, ensuring adherence to established standards.
- Collaborate with state and local agencies for project approvals and construction processes.
- Support the administration of grant funding applications at both state and federal levels.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing documents and proposals.
- A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.
- Proficient in hydraulic modeling using software such as EPA SWMM, Innovyze ICM, and HEC-RAS.
- Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) certification is required; Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in software tools including AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid driver's license is required.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
