Position: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with Terraform and GCP

Location: Remote

Type: Onsite Only

Key Responsibilities:

- Spearhead intricate technology Cloud projects that have a significant organizational impact.

- Serve as a pivotal contributor in the automation of Cloud Infrastructure provisioning utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.

- Make informed decisions in the establishment of standards and best practices for engineering and extensive technology solutions.

- Architect, enhance, and document the engineering components of the Cloud platform.

- Lead and disseminate knowledge of industry best practices, ensuring that new technologies are leveraged to fulfill deliverables and initiate new projects.

- Evaluate and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions in the Cloud to align with strategic business goals and address technical challenges requiring thorough assessment of various factors.

- Collaborate with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve intricate technical issues and achieve objectives.

- Construct and enable Cloud infrastructure, automating orchestration for GCP at an enterprise level.

- Operate within a globally distributed team to provide innovative and resilient Cloud-centric solutions.

- Work closely with Product Teams and vendors to develop and implement Cloud services that meet client expectations.

- Partner with architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud-based systems.

- Collect and analyze data to identify the root causes of Cloud-related issues, recommending and executing solutions promptly.

Required Qualifications:

- Experience in Software Engineering or equivalent, demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.

- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a proven history of programmatically constructing complex infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

- Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and GitHub.

- Strong grasp of GCP networking services, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Virtual Private Network (VPN), Cloud Interconnect, Virtual Network (Vnet), and Cloud Load Balancing.

- Knowledge of Cloud service offerings, including Data, Analytics, and AI/ML on GCP.

- Demonstrated experience with at least three of the following key services: Big Query, Composer, Vertex AI, Document AI, Agent Builder, DataProc, Data Catalog, Notebook.

- In-depth understanding of network protocols, security, and compliance standards.

- Experience with scripting and automation tools for network provisioning and configuration.

- Familiarity with Cloud service offerings related to Security, Data Protection, and Security policy implementations.

- Basic understanding of Cloud computing concepts such as landing zones and Blueprints.

Desired Qualifications:

- Cloud certification on GCP.

- Exposure to Cloud governance and logging/monitoring tools.

- Experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts, and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) principles.

- Proficient in container-based solution services, having managed 2-3 large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure build-outs and service provisioning in Azure or GCP.

- Experience in scripting languages such as Shell and Python.

- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and load balancing concepts (IP, DNS, Guardrails, Vnets), along with exposure to database, cloud security, Active Directory, authentication methods, and RBAC.

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Ability to convey technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.

- Capacity to engage effectively with partners in a multicultural environment, demonstrating co-ownership and accountability in a matrix structure.

- Focus on delivery and a willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
