POSITION SUMMARY:

The Family Based Mental Health Worker is essential in promoting PATH's mission by being an effective team member. This role involves collaborating with a therapist to deliver intensive family-based services primarily in the family's home, which includes assessments, service coordination, crisis intervention and prevention, educational support, and daily living skills training. The worker will also assist the therapist in providing individual, family, and group therapy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and families.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to receive the vaccine is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of families and youth.
  • Support the therapist in delivering individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Engage regularly with all systems involved with the youth and family.
  • Design and implement training and activities focused on socialization and daily living skills for youth and families.
  • Provide case management services and facilitate access to necessary resources for families.

Minimal physical demands associated with this role.
