We are seeking a skilled and experienced Food Service Coordinator to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition Services Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Job Summary

The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operations and activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department within assigned hospital and hospital department/campus locations. This includes providing consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment while ensuring compliance with State, Local, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations, established policies, and procedures.

  • Evaluate existing systems and processes, initiate change and improvements, and make suggestions to Management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and ensure compliance with all current policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC, and others) within all food and nutritional services areas.
  • Coordinate food preparation in assigned areas and support department leadership to achieve the daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Department assigned areas encompassing but not limited to all patient and non-patient food service, employee cafeteria, doctor's dining room, catering, and floor stock.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in food services or hospitality.
  • Knowledge of hospital and healthcare operations.
  • Knowledge of hospital and healthcare financial metrics.
