Job Overview

Catholic Social Services is seeking a highly skilled Refugee Health Program Coordinator to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska.

This role will be responsible for coordinating and planning with various public health departments, hospitals, and medical providers to ensure refugees receive timely and equal access to medical services in their community.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cross-cultural experience, public health, or a related field, and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

About the Job

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure refugees and ORR-eligible populations have access to RMA in Alaska when needed;
  • Collaborate with National Medical Replacement Designee, USCRI;
  • Complete refugee medical billings in a timely fashion;
  • Develop contracts for RHS partners statewide and provide training and support to RHS as they administer screenings;
  • Monitor all refugee health screening clinics annually;
  • Ensure coordination between refugee resettlement agencies and health clinics;
  • Provide technical assistance to ensure comprehensive and quality medical screening services;
  • Address interpretation, transportation, and capacity issues at agencies and clinics to increase meaningful and timely access to medical screening;
  • Respond to disease outbreaks or other public health crises occurring in ORR-served populations;
  • Coordinate transfer of health records for out-migrating and incoming secondary migrants;
  • Enter and track all refugee health screening data provided by health partners;
  • Prepare written and data reports on RMA, RMS, and RHP activities.
