Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Service Expert to join our team at Benihana National Corp in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to provide positive guest interactions while accurately preparing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. This role involves following standard recipes, mixing ingredients, and preparing cocktails and other drinks. Additionally, the successful candidate will offer and serve food items to guests, collect payment for drinks served, and maintain the bar area clean, sanitary, and organized.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve beverages to guests and servers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow standard recipes and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to company standards.
  • Offer and serve food items to guests, collect payment, and maintain the bar area clean and organized.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail in all aspects of job performance.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in bartending or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required.
  • Strong ability to handle money and proficiency in operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Basic understanding of beer, wine, spirits, and sake required.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and dealing with guest complaints.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
  • Must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency.
  • Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older, or in accordance with state law.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
