Plasma Collection Specialist

PROCESSING TECHNICIAN
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely collection, storage, and distribution of plasma bottles and samples.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and regulatory standards.
- Manage operational activities to align with production demands and donor schedules.
- Provide training and mentorship to both new and existing staff members.
- Guarantee sterile and prompt collection of plasma samples.
- Conduct all necessary quality control measures and report any discrepancies to Quality Assurance and Management.
- Remain vigilant for any adverse reactions from donors and alert the appropriate personnel.
- Clean up blood or plasma spills and follow proper protocols for the disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Monitor and record temperatures of freezers and refrigerators.
- Perform daily calibration of laboratory equipment.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Availability to work during days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
- Ability to lift up to thirty-five pounds.
- Willingness to work in environments with temperatures as low as -40C for brief periods.
- At least one year of experience in a laboratory or warehouse setting.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrates reliability and consistency in work performance.
- CPR certification is preferred.
