PROCESSING TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the collection, storage, and distribution of plasma bottles and samples.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee operational areas to meet production demands and donor flow.
  • Provide training and mentorship to both new and existing staff members.
  • Guarantee the safe and sterile collection of plasma samples.
  • Conduct necessary quality control measures and communicate any issues to Quality Assurance and Management.
  • Stay vigilant for any adverse reactions from donors and alert the appropriate personnel.
  • Manage biohazardous waste disposal and clean any blood or plasma spills following proper protocols.
  • Monitor temperature levels of freezers and refrigerators.
  • Perform daily equipment calibration to ensure accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Willingness to work in environments with temperatures as low as -40C for brief periods.
  • At least one year of experience in a laboratory or warehouse setting.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven reliability and consistency in work performance.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
