Job Overview

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


50% - Audit Execution: Plan, conduct, and document all operational and compliance audits, ensuring comprehensive reports and documentation of management's feedback.


Annual audits will cover various functional areas as dictated by regulations, internal policies, and risk assessments. Key areas include but are not limited to: Funds/Wire Transfers; Investments; Interest Rate Risk Management; Anti-Money Laundering; Loan Operations; Mortgage Servicing; Deposit Operations; Information Technology; Electronic Banking; and Customer Information Security.


25% - Risk Assessment: Stay informed about the bank's strategic objectives. Collaborate with management to identify potential risks and develop robust systems and controls to mitigate these risks.


Conduct audits aligned with management's goals and provide recommendations for improvements in: (1) internal control mechanisms, (2) regulatory compliance, (3) accounting practices, (4) policies and procedures, and (5) customer service quality.


20% - Special Projects: Undertake special assignments, including support for external auditors and regulatory reviews. Ensure timely completion of special projects and reporting to management.


5% - Community Engagement: Participate in business development initiatives and engage with at least two community organizations.

Education and Experience:


A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or three to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.


This role requires ongoing professional development. Continuing education may include in-house training, online courses, self-study, and external training opportunities, some of which may require travel.
