Key Responsibilities encompass the following tasks. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

50% Plan, execute, and document all control and operational audits, including comprehensive reports and documentation of Management's feedback.

Operational areas that necessitate an annual audit based on regulations, internal policies, risk evaluations, etc.

These areas include but are not limited to:

Funds/Wire Transfers; Investments; Interest Rate Risk Management; Bank Secrecy/Anti-Money Laundering/Office of Foreign Assets Control/Customer Identification Program; Loans/Loan Operations; Mortgage Servicing; Deposits/Deposit Operations; Information Technology/Information Systems; Automated Clearing House/SWACHA; Electronic Banking; ATMs & ITMs; Financial Privacy & Customer Information Security.

On a quarterly basis, present the findings of audit activities in both written and verbal formats to the Board of Directors.

25% Stay fully informed of management's goals for the bank and its affiliates. Support management in pinpointing risk areas and in formulating systems and controls to mitigate risk.

Conduct audit activities in alignment with management's overarching objectives and provide recommendations when vulnerabilities or risks are detected regarding: (1) internal control systems and safeguards, (2) regulatory and legal compliance, (3) accounting systems, (4) policies & procedures, and (5) customer service.


20% Undertake special assignments, including collaboration with external auditors and regulatory examiners. Ensure timely completion of special assignments and reports to management and the Board of Directors.

5% Engage in business development and community service initiatives. Participate in the bank's business development efforts and in at least two community organizations.

Education and Experience


A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university; or three to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position necessitates ongoing education. Continuing education may involve in-house training, online training, self-study, and training outside of the bank. Some continuing education options may require overnight travel.
