Job Overview

At Verterra Energy, we're pioneering a revolutionary water-power technology called VOLTURNUS, which harnesses the power of rivers, canals, and oceans to generate zero-emission electricity. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, engineer, and analyze generator frame components, including structures, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to develop novel solutions that combine electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
  • Work with permanent magnet designs, their engineering, analysis, and fabrication, and apply knowledge of finite element analysis applications for structural, thermal, and electromagnetic systems.
  • Split time between electrical and mechanical engineering, pursuing solutions that integrate both disciplines effectively.
  • Analyze complex technical problems, interpret technical design data, and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Interact with various suppliers and service providers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide constructive input and feedback to other engineering project team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Industry experience with electrical motors, generators, and magnetic machinery is essential.
  • Working knowledge of finite element analysis applications for structural, thermal, and electromagnetic systems is helpful.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
