Overview

The Production Engineering Specialist will collaborate closely with Product Design Engineers, Project Managers, and Manufacturing teams. This role involves generating fabrication schematics and programming machinery utilizing advanced 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, alongside enhancing fabrication techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops technical drawings from CAD models, including detailed part and assembly schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs) to facilitate manufacturing, testing, and assembly processes, as well as supporting components for assembly.
  • Assists in sourcing, procurement, and selection processes as dictated by the design workflow.
  • Offers technical and engineering assistance for daily operations and process enhancements.
  • Validates system and product functionalities by devising feasibility studies and testing methodologies.
  • Enhances manufacturing workflows by designing and refining equipment for fabricating, constructing, assembling, and installing components.
  • Ensures product and system quality by developing testing protocols, evaluating finished products and system capabilities, and verifying fabrication, assembly, and installation procedures.
  • Compiles product documentation by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Engages in technical assessments of requirements, specifications, designs, and codes.
  • Designs components, parts, and assemblies to fulfill the objectives of assigned projects.
  • Maintains awareness of personal contributions to quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance initiatives; reports all quality concerns, unsafe actions, and hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient knowledge of CAD modeling, technical drawings, and machine design with experience in design analysis. Familiarity with SolidWorks is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing methodologies. Experience with CAM software is beneficial.
  • Practical experience with automated manufacturing machinery is preferred.
