Job Summary

US AMR-Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting all aspects of electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, install, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure, including electrical equipment and systems.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain all electrical equipment and systems in assigned facilities to ensure efficient operating results and life expectancy.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner and downtime is reduced to a minimum by anticipating necessary repairs and keeping records of past operating experiences.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in the electrical field while maintaining basic knowledge of all other trades to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.
  • Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical apparatus, control equipment, and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors and other equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade, and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
  • Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
  • Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools.
  • Complete all documentation by required deadlines and document accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time.
  • Perform all incidental/associated work required to complete the job assignment.
  • Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with manager.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.
Requirements
  • Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
  • Able to work on roofs of buildings.
  • Subject to call-in work 24 hours per day, perform on-call duties, and overtime as required.
  • Lifting to 80 lbs.
  • Working from heights.
  • Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
  • Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
  • Driving for long periods of time.
  • Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application.
  • Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology.
  • Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities.
