Position Overview

We are seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations at our facility. This role involves ensuring production targets are met while providing leadership and direction to team members. The Production Manager will implement lean methodologies to enhance profitability, ensure exceptional customer service, cultivate a skilled workforce, and minimize operational costs through ongoing improvements.

Established in 1979, our Peachtree facility specializes in Architectural Metal Roofing and Slit Coil, consistently recognized as a top performer within the company.

Work Schedule

Standard hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote lean initiatives within assigned teams, contributing to the overall lean strategy for the plant.
  • Set team objectives and monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage all aspects of team leadership, including development, hiring decisions, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for team members in lean practices, standard operating procedures, and tools for waste reduction.
  • Facilitate cross-training among team members to optimize workforce flexibility across job functions.
  • Empower team members positively to foster success.
  • Oversee the execution of preventive maintenance and safety programs for assigned teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to mentor team members in these areas.
  • Proficient in organizing, planning, coordinating, and executing tasks.
  • Experience in refining manufacturing processes for ongoing improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
  • A minimum of 5 years in an industrial or manufacturing setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience in lean management practices.
