Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations at our facility. The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met while providing leadership and guidance to team members. This role is pivotal in driving lean methodologies to enhance profitable growth, delivering exceptional customer service, cultivating a skilled workforce, and minimizing operational costs through ongoing improvements.

Division Overview

Established in 1979, our facility specializes in Architectural Metal Roofing and Slit Coil, consistently ranking as a top performer within the company.

Work Schedule

Standard hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate lean initiatives within assigned teams while developing a comprehensive lean strategy for plant-wide implementation.
  • Set team objectives and monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage all aspects of team leadership, including team member development, hiring decisions, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all team members receive training in lean principles, standard operating procedures, and tools for continuous improvement.
  • Promote cross-training among team members across various roles to enhance the overall efficiency of the production process.
  • Empower team members positively to foster a culture of success.
  • Oversee the execution of preventive maintenance and safety programs for assigned teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
  • Proven problem analysis and resolution skills, with the capacity to mentor team members in these areas.
  • Effective organizational, planning, coordination, and execution skills.
  • Ability to refine manufacturing processes to achieve ongoing improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience in lean management practices.
