Position Overview

An opportunity is available for a Production Manager at our facility. The Production Manager will oversee daily operations to ensure production targets are met while providing leadership to team members. This role focuses on implementing lean processes to enhance profitable growth, delivering exceptional customer service, cultivating a skilled workforce, and minimizing operational costs and inventory through ongoing improvements. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Established in 1979, the Peachtree facility specializes in Architectural Metal Roofing and Slit Coil, consistently recognized as a top performer within the company.

Working Hours

Standard hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct lean initiatives within assigned teams, contributing to the overall lean strategy across the plant.
  • Set team objectives and monitor key performance indicators to ensure continuous enhancement.
  • Manage all aspects of team operations, including member development, hiring decisions, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for all team members in lean methodologies, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Facilitate cross-training among team members across various job functions to optimize workforce effectiveness.
  • Empower team members positively to foster success.
  • Oversee the execution of preventive maintenance and safety programs for assigned teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
  • Proven problem analysis and resolution skills, with the capability to mentor team members in these areas.
  • Effective organizational, planning, coordination, and execution skills.
  • Experience in refining manufacturing processes to achieve continuous improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
  • A minimum of 5 years in an industrial/manufacturing setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience in lean management practices.
