Job Title: Front Desk Surgery Center Coordinator

Orbis Surgery Center is seeking a reliable and personable Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm position with no weekend or call. In this valued role, you will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients, visitors, and medical staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and patient satisfaction at our ambulatory surgery center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Register new patients and verify their personal and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries accurately, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Collect co-payments and fees from patients, process payments, and issue receipts.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely assistance.
  • Keep the reception area tidy and organized, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one (1) year scheduling experience in an ambulatory surgery facility, acute-care hospital, or doctor's office preferred.
  • Experience using scheduling software preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office, MS Excel, email, internet) required.
