We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-directed professional to join our team as a Per Diem Access Representative. This role involves pre-registering, pre-admitting, and admitting patients by telephone and/or in person.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret insurance benefits to ensure accurate patient information
- Collect cash and interact with public assistance programs, such as Medi-Cal and CCS
- Collaborate with physicians, office personnel, and other hospital staff to facilitate patient care
- Refer cases to internal and external sources to assist patients with discharge and post-hospital care
- Collect accurate demographic information and obtain prior authorizations
- Working knowledge of eligibility and working provisions of third-party sponsors
- General knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to write concise and grammatically correct reports and correspondence
- Ability to type 55 words per minute (WPM)
- Proficient in basic math and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
