Job Summary: RadNet Long Beach is seeking a highly skilled Patient Flow Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our examination rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the completion of patient exams and procedures effectively and efficiently, ensuring a consistent flow of patients to maintain scheduled examination times.
  • Walk patients from the waiting area to the dressing area to change for their scheduled examinations.
  • Interview patients for examination and record their medical history, screening patients for safety according to RadNet protocols.
  • Assist registered nurses with setup of IVs, monitoring oral and IV sedation, and other activities requiring assistance.
  • Coordinate contrast coverage with radiologists as needed.
  • Contact referring physicians' offices for verification of examination orders and authorizations.
  • Prepare examination rooms for exams and procedures, ensuring equipment and tools are sterilized before each patient exam.
  • Assist modality technologists with other tasks as assigned within the scope of their job skills.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or experience working in a diagnostic imaging facility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with doctors, referring doctors, and staff, patients, peers, and management.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized, with the ability to operate with urgency to ensure timely processing of patients and workflow.
