POSITION OVERVIEW

The Beverage Operations Supervisor is accountable for managing and overseeing all aspects of our beverage services in alignment with established policies to ensure efficient, welcoming service and profitable operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Overseeing all staffing duties, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and dismissal.
  • Managing procurement of all beverages and supplies while ensuring minimal waste and adherence to expiration dates.
  • Driving the promotion of the establishment and enhancing sales.
  • Supervising staff in areas of beverage preparation, customer interaction, cleanliness, and maintenance of the venue.
  • Encouraging teamwork, a collaborative spirit, and positive morale among team members.
  • Delivering exceptional guest experiences, including personally welcoming and seating patrons.
  • Addressing guest complaints in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Conducting daily inspections and periodic evaluations to ensure equipment safety and proper beverage preparation; resolving any technical issues related to equipment.
  • Participating in training sessions regarding standardized practices and regularly conferring with upper management about operational matters.
  • Managing payroll and maintaining accurate records of sales and cash transactions, including relevant accounting, budgeting, credit policies, and banking procedures.
  • Providing consistent, precise, computerized reports of operations to upper management.
  • Assisting with the responsibilities of other team members (e.g., host, server, cook, etc.) when necessary due to unexpected absences or increased volume.
  • Responding to guest and community interests to develop marketing and promotional strategies, acting as a representative of the brand daily.
  • Performing other job-related tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High energy and stamina are essential.
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively under pressure.
  • Capability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related materials in English.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to treat guests like family.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English are required.
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items up to 75 pounds.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent skills in reading and math; hospitality and restaurant management certification or college degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant industry is required; prior management experience is preferred; successful completion of a progressive business management training program is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to train and inspire team members.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail to handle various duties and prepare reports on schedule.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to sharp objects, slippery surfaces, smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, and extreme cold. The employee frequently comes into contact with water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items. The employee is often required to wash hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
