Position Overview
As a Culinary Operations Supervisor at Spare Time Entertainment, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen team, ensuring the seamless execution of culinary operations while upholding our high standards of food quality and service. Your leadership will guide our kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence and creativity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in the training and development of kitchen staff, enhancing their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with Event Planners and service teams to strategize and execute a variety of events successfully.
  • Partner with Culinary Management to design, cost, and implement innovative menu offerings.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the Executive Chef to discuss kitchen operations and performance.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including orders, inventories, and reports.
  • Enforce kitchen policies regarding personnel management, addressing any violations with prompt and fair corrective actions.
  • Assist in the recruitment and termination processes, including interviewing and evaluating kitchen staff.
  • Oversee staff projects and ensure effective management of kitchen resources.
  • Safeguard company property and ensure proper handling and security within the kitchen.
  • Assist in managing orders and deliveries accurately.
  • Monitor food costs and usage, adhering to requisition protocols and waste management practices.
  • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed for the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including all kitchen equipment.
  • Check and uphold food holding and refrigeration temperature standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment and storage areas are clean and functioning optimally.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality of food products served.
  • Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of food according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist with food preparation during less busy periods as needed.
  • Stock and maintain adequate levels of food supplies at service stations for efficient operations.
  • Prepare food items using various cooking methods, ensuring proper seasoning and presentation.
  • Contribute to the creation of unique catering experiences for our esteemed clients.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new weekly features.
  • Uphold Spare Time Entertainment's service standards in all guest interactions.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns personally and professionally.
  • Report any company policy violations to management promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or Culinary Degree/Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Serve Safe Certification is mandatory.

Work Environment
  • This role operates in a professional kitchen setting, which may involve guest interaction.
  • The noise level can be elevated, with potential lighting effects.
  • Exposure to various kitchen conditions, including hot surfaces and sharp utensils, is common.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • This position may require long hours and frequent weekend shifts.
