Position Overview

Express is in search of a Retail Operations Supervisor to enhance our retail environment.


The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Store Manager with the oversight of store operations, including recruitment, management, training, and sales functions. This position is crucial in driving productivity, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering an exceptional in-store shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in cultivating, motivating, and retaining top talent.
  • Foster a positive workplace atmosphere that promotes high morale among staff.
  • Coach and train Sales Associates to enhance job performance.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to identify and support the development of high-performing Sales Associates.
  • Participate in the hiring process for Sales Associates by providing feedback during interviews.
  • Support the Store Manager in analyzing business performance and executing clear action plans to optimize results.
  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Implement action plans aimed at achieving optimal results.
  • Ensure adequate sales floor coverage to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage merchandise flow, including shipment, replenishment, and omnichannel operations throughout the store.
  • Uphold adherence to company policies and ensure the safety of both associates and customers.
  • Drive the execution of store strategies to meet performance goals.
  • Lead associates in executing merchandising strategies, operational initiatives, and loyalty programs.
  • Promote an environment focused on delivering an outstanding in-store experience.
  • Set an example in fostering proactive customer engagement to exceed expectations.
  • Welcome and assist customers in a friendly manner, providing information on products and promotions.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints effectively, taking initiative to identify and rectify issues.
  • Act as the leader in customer experience, accountable for performance results and developing action plans for improvement.
  • Enhance the in-store experience through visual merchandising standards.
  • Perform other essential functions as directed by the supervisor.
Required Experience & Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Years of Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Proficient in technology use (iPad, registers).

Demonstrates strong customer service capabilities.

Meets defined availability criteria, including nights and weekends.

Meets physical requirements.

Critical Skills & Attributes

Previous retail experience is preferred.

Proven ability to drive sales results.

Strong communication skills are essential.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.

Prior experience in sales management is advantageous.
