Year-Round Culinary Specialist

Our bustling dining establishment is in search of a meticulous individual with outstanding time management skills who is dedicated to delivering an extraordinary culinary experience for our patrons. As our next Culinary Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each dish is prepared and presented according to precise recipes, presentation standards, and with accuracy for the guest order. We require an experienced cook who is adept in various cooking methods such as poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team member who can effectively communicate with fellow kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations.

Compensation:

$22+ hourly based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a professional and friendly demeanor when engaging with guests, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Organize a system of food stations and ensure they are fully stocked for the shift
  • Prepare food orders on the line by cooking items to order, grilling, broiling, sautéing, and adhering to all presentation guidelines and standard recipes
  • Keep workstations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration, in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Identify and comply with quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, as well as proper storage and waste management practices
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the food service industry is preferred
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with customers and team members
  • Must be able to fulfill all safety and sanitation requirements for kitchen equipment and food storage
  • Candidates should have completed high school or obtained a similar certification such as a GED
