About the Opportunity

As a Business Analytics Consultant at MassMutual, you will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment responsible for supporting the data and reporting needs of the Procurement department. Your key responsibilities will include generating analytical reports, troubleshooting data or interface issues across multiple data sources, and collaborating with the Technology team to understand our systems and data models to extract relevant datasets.

About the Team

The team is responsible for preparing reports for Procurement leadership and executive leadership. You will work in a dynamic environment with urgent requests, requiring you to be agile and work efficiently. Emphasis on data quality is critical for this role.

About the Impact

  • Bring advanced knowledge of SQL Database, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, and MicroStrategy for report visualization and creating actionable reporting.
  • Gain clarity of reporting needs of the business and understand the content of requested reports.
  • Use systems to create routine reports and auditing to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Find data anomalies, creating processes to validate data accuracy.
  • Find opportunities for process improvements in reporting along with providing insightful analytics for complex problem-solving.
  • Find data trends and make recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting requests in a timely manner.
  • Complete weekly/monthly reporting assignments on time and ensure accuracy of each report.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines while setting clear expectations on delivery dates.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted resource for the entire department, providing critical information to assess compliance to current policies and determine future strategies.

About the Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, Math, or related field.
  • 4+ years of proven reporting and analysis experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working with SAP Ariba or a large ERP.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.

  • Demonstrated experience in timely creation of both standard and ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, and presentation of findings.
  • Experience working directly with internal customers and identifying needs before they ask.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with technology and business partners.
  • Experience collaborating with a team of varying skillsets.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with advanced skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, V-lookups, and Macros).
  • Desire to learn emerging technologies.
  • Strong collaboration skills.

Salary Range: $88,300.00-$115,900.00
