Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician for Construction Materials at HVJ Associates supports the laboratory manager and project manager to ensure client satisfaction by performing laboratory testing, documenting work, and providing support as directed. This role requires a safe, cheerful, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing as assigned, adhering to applicable standards and company guidelines.
- Document work performed accurately and thoroughly.
- Provide support to the Laboratory Manager as directed, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Conduct duties in a safe, efficient, and cheerful manner, prioritizing team collaboration and client satisfaction.
Accountability Metrics
- Utilization of resources and equipment.
- Timeliness and punctuality in completing tasks.
Additional Expectations
- Acquire related certifications, such as SB101, ACI Strength, SB103, AGG101, and SB201, to enhance professional development.
Key Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift concrete cylinders, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job.
- Capacity to work in year-round outdoor or warehouse environments.
- Hold a valid Texas Driver's License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug-related traffic offenses.
