Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with dispatchers and coordinators to ensure timely completion of field and laboratory testing, sampling, and inspection services.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders, including supervisors, engineers, and architects, to coordinate testing and inspection activities.
  • Conduct source inspections at manufacturing facilities and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Lead the work of other technicians and provide guidance on testing and inspection procedures.
  • Submit accurate and complete testing reports on a daily basis and communicate project progress to supervisors and dispatchers.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Five years of experience in materials testing and inspection.
  • Three or more relevant certifications, such as ACI Field Grade I, TxDOT SB 102, or NiCET I or II Soils or Concrete.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Working Conditions

The Senior Construction Materials Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, noise, dust, and other environmental factors. Regular use of non-complex machines and equipment is required. Work assignments may involve protracted or irregular hours, and flexibility to work outside regular hours is necessary.
