Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Administrative Services, the Facilities Operations Specialist is responsible for performing general cleaning tasks, light landscaping duties, and a range of preventative maintenance and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves making routine repairs to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as assisting in the coordination of significant repairs, carpentry, and construction projects. The Facilities Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering a safe workplace environment that aligns with the mission and strategic goals of the organization.

As a member of the safety team, when not engaged in facilities tasks, the individual will conduct regular safety patrols, monitor surveillance cameras, and respond to urgent incidents. This position also serves on the Safety Committee, representing the organization in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Essential Duties
- Complete or coordinate repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance tasks at various facilities in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of repair and maintenance activities, as well as space utilization requests and follow-up communications.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks, including snow removal and salting.
- Act as the Governance Floor Warden for safety purposes.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and report incidents or activities to the Executive Director of Administrative Services as needed.
- Effectively communicate environmental, safety, and health information to team members across all levels of the organization.
- Respond to urgent incidents based on coverage, completing necessary paperwork.
- Maintain and update the master list of Room Occupants.
- Order ID badges for vendors or employees through the IT Help Desk program as requested.
- Serve as a backup for Customer Services for telephone assistance and manage meeting room reservations, including specifying required equipment, furniture arrangements, and refreshments.

Maintain the Space Utilization Request Tracking Log and ensure regular and predictable attendance. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

While executing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; to talk and hear; and frequently required to walk and move about the facility. Occasionally, the employee may need to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment is primarily office-based, utilizing standard office equipment including computers and copiers, with a typical noise level that is quiet. Travel to other locations for meetings may be required, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
