Position Title: Field AV Engineer Department: Operations Reports To: Vice President of Customer Success Position Overview: This role is crucial for overseeing, installing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting the electronic, hardware, and wiring components of audio-visual systems in accordance with company standards. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Customer Success, the Field AV Engineer is an integral part of the Operations team, supporting the objectives of a premier sales and AV integration program. The position involves loading AV Control Code, GUI, and DSP configurations, with travel to client sites necessary for device configuration, control code loading, testing, commissioning, and project close-out, adhering to the company's policies regarding quality, safety, environmental, and business practices. This role entails significant travel to various job sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities: The Field AV Engineer will independently manage the commissioning of audio-visual systems at job sites with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Loading and configuring Crestron and Extron control systems
  • Setting up and programming DSP to align with design specifications and project scope
  • Commissioning and testing systems both on-site and remotely
  • Collaborating with sales and operations teams to ensure project objectives meet customer expectations
  • Fostering teamwork and effective communication across various departments including Operations, Sales, Design, Accounting, Procurement, and Purchasing
  • Troubleshooting systems in collaboration with field technicians
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Extensive experience in the AV industry
  • Proficient in using Crestron Toolbox
  • Familiarity with Extron Global Configurator Plus/Pro
  • Experience collaborating with customer IT departments
  • Knowledge of installation, wiring, and rack assembly
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in providing end-user training
  • Effective troubleshooting and time management abilities
  • Willingness to travel frequently, often on short notice, with extended work hours
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug testing prior to employment
  • Professional demeanor, approachable attitude
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Capability to lift 40 pounds and complete safety training
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AV industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS and CTS-I
  • Audio DSP certifications like Biamp and Q-SYS
  • Experience in setting up and programming VTC systems
  • Comfortable with direct written communication
  • A commitment to enhancing job knowledge and qualifications
  • Attention to detail and composure in stressful situations

Compensation and Benefits: The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

Job Type: Full-time Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience
