Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Summary: We are in search of a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide vital speech and language interventions to students. The SLP will play a crucial role in enhancing communication abilities essential for both academic achievement and social interaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges in students.
  • Design personalized treatment strategies and objectives based on assessment findings, collaborating with educators, parents, and other specialists.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, both in individual and group formats, in alignment with IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
  • Regularly track and document student progress, modifying therapy methods and objectives as necessary to optimize results.
  • Work closely with teachers and support personnel to incorporate speech and language objectives into the classroom, promoting student engagement and success across various educational environments.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, offering insights regarding speech and language requirements, progress, and intervention strategies.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of therapy sessions, evaluations, progress reports, and other essential documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Valid California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in educational contexts, is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and effective collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
