Position Summary: We are in search of a committed and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide critical speech and language services to students. The SLP will play a vital role in enhancing students' communication abilities, which are essential for their academic and social achievements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Create tailored treatment plans and objectives based on assessment findings, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, in alignment with IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
  • Regularly monitor and document student progress, modifying therapy methods and objectives as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to incorporate speech and language objectives into the classroom, promoting student engagement and success across various educational environments.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, providing insights regarding speech and language needs, progress, and strategies.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, progress reports, and other required records in accordance with district and state regulations.
  • Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech-language pathology through continuous professional development and training.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in educational settings, is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
