About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Leader to join our team at the City of Philadelphia. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and maintain our organization's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Lead the identification, assessment, and prioritization of information security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities across our IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Security Governance & Compliance: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified risks effectively.
  • Threat Management: Execute strategies for continuous monitoring of network traffic, system logs, and user activities to identify unauthorized or suspicious behavior.
  • Third Party Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Security Operations & Technology: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies and tools.
  • Change Management: Lead the change management committee for reviewing, approving, and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information security, with 5 years of leadership or managerial experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, proficiency in risk management, in-depth knowledge of security architecture and design, expertise in security operations, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CRISC certifications are highly desirable.
  • Security Compliance Frameworks: Experience with security compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIS CSF, NIST RMF, or ISO 27001 is a plus.
