Your Role as a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst:

In this position, you will lead or engage in assessments and monitoring activities aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of financial institutions' information technology (IT) and cybersecurity frameworks, while also validating the remediation of identified issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing risk-based supervisory plans tailored to the size and complexity of the financial institutions.
  • Creating comprehensive supervisory documents and work papers that effectively communicate complex supervisory findings and necessary actions to senior management and boards of directors.
  • Analyzing IT and cybersecurity risk management programs and threat intelligence reports to assess risks and potential impacts on financial institutions and the broader financial services sector.
  • Contributing to and leading initiatives that aim to establish effective supervisory policies, guidance, and analytical thought leadership.
  • Providing coaching, training, and mentorship to junior colleagues.

Qualifications:

We seek candidates with:

  • Direct experience in auditing or risk management, particularly in IT and cybersecurity controls.
  • Advanced knowledge of recognized frameworks such as FFIEC, NIST, and ISO.
  • Industry-recognized information security certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP) or equivalent credentials.
  • Experience within regulatory/government agencies or the financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • The capacity to collaborate on cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to staying informed about current and emerging technologies.

Additional Responsibilities:

Demonstrate developing leadership capabilities while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Manage administrative tasks effectively, including expense tracking and record retention, while adhering to all relevant information security policies and practices.


Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of experience in IT or cyber risk, with a background in auditing or managing IT security controls using industry-standard frameworks.

This position may also consider candidates with slightly lower levels of experience or qualifications.
