Job Title: Water Utility Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Utility Director to join our team at the City of Philadelphia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing the operations of our water treatment plant systems and ensuring that treatment processes comply with legal and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the operations of water treatment plant systems
  • Ensure compliance with legal and environmental standards
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs for plant facilities
  • Coordinate plant activities with other departmental programs
  • Establish effective working relationships with external governmental and regulatory agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in sanitary, environmental, civil, chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering
  • Five years of engineering experience in water or wastewater treatment plant operation
  • Two years of experience as a Water Utility Manager directing plant operations and maintenance
