The Unit Coordinator is a vital member of the Inova team, responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient department operations. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of clerical activities and unit-specific tasks to support department operations, including copying, faxing, and maintaining databases.
  • Provide support for the maintenance of confidential patient information, including creating, maintaining, and terminating patient charts.
  • Answer incoming calls, log outgoing calls, and take accurate messages.
  • Assist with patient movement, including coordinating with nurses and patient transport personnel.
  • Generate and maintain tools necessary for patient care, including Kardex, MAR, and treatment sheets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support certification (if also working as a Clinical Tech)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
