About the Position

The Court Operations Lead plays a crucial role in providing direction to Clerk of the Superior Court (COSC) staff and assisting supervisors and management with administrative duties, training, and research. This position ensures the public, legal community, Courts, County, and other governmental agencies have access to the judicial system and related public records to pursue legal processes and obtain or maintain legal and financial records and information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction to staff by distributing and assigning incoming work, delivering training to staff members, and ensuring compliance with judicial orders.
  • Perform quality assurance inventory audits, maintain statistical data for status reports, and review and interpret court orders.
  • Conduct research to determine eligibility of materials for release and/or disposal, respond to inquiries from internal and external customers, and provide customer service telephonically, in person, and by email.
  • Identify and notify appropriate parties and agencies of pending appeals, prepare and transmit the record on appeal, and ensure all documents are filed expediently and accurately.
  • Prepare statistical team reports, assist staff with goal setting for Clerk of Court standards, verify reports for accuracy of information, and make necessary corrections.
  • Manage internal team inboxes and folders, containing questions and requests, and ensure compliance with court orders.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed primarily in a business office setting with a high volume and fast-paced environment, requiring long periods of sitting while completing computer activities.
  • Travel may be required to and from job-related locations during the scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business.
  • Ability to lift boxes or other items up to 20 pounds and carry, push, or pull from one courthouse to another.
