Job Summary

The City of Mesa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Court Specialist to provide lead supervision over the Court Specialists within the City Court. This role requires a strong understanding of court procedures and processes, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide lead supervision and guidance to Court Specialists
  • Train staff members on court procedures and processes
  • Schedule coverage for the assigned responsibility area
  • Assist with daily operations and review work of subordinates
  • Provide input on staff performance appraisals
  • Work with the supervisor to address staff issues
  • Prepare and modify work procedures as needed
  • Prepare agendas and conduct staff meetings
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or GED
  • Extensive clerical or paraprofessional experience involving public contact, customer service, or payment processing
  • Minimum of two years of experience with the City of Mesa as a Court Specialist
  • Valid Class D Arizona Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general court processes and experience in a court setting
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills and experience with computer applications
