Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative I is a vital member of the McLaren Health Care team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete registration and financial clearance tasks in a timely manner.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to ensure efficient and effective patient access processes.
- Meet productivity and quality standards for the position.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in Patient Access, Medical Billing, or Customer Service.
- Proven skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, and Windows-based applications.
- 10-key calculator proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Healthcare, Finance, or related field.
- Certification in medical billing, coding, or equivalent job-specific certification.
- Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
- One year of experience in Revenue Cycle.
