Your Role

As a Front Desk Manager at Placemakr, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and efficient environment for our team members, while setting the standard for front-of-house operations. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving the success of your Guest Experience team through active support and the cultivation of a high-performance culture. We are looking for individuals who exemplify Placemakr's Community Norms, excel in team development, and are committed to the operational success of our front-of-house services.

This role requires flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a rotational schedule.

Your Daily Responsibilities
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to all guests, residents, and partners by acting as a trusted friend and local expert.
  • Promote a collaborative atmosphere by working closely with all property team members to create a supportive work environment.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant setting for team members and guests by adhering to established policies and emergency protocols.
  • Spend the majority of your time actively managing daily operations, supporting your front desk team, and assisting guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of team members' check-in and check-out processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Lead by example to help your team meet and exceed Placemakr's standards for excellence, including employee engagement and customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Effectively resolve escalated guest concerns with autonomy and promptness.
  • Train new hires on service and operational standards, sharing best practices to foster continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the daily management of a team of Guest Experience Associates, providing coaching and feedback, managing attendance, and ensuring adequate shift coverage.
  • Manage scheduling for Guest Experience Associates, utilizing occupancy reports and adhering to scheduling policies.
  • Handle performance management and hiring processes for your team, with support from your property leader.
  • Manage inventory tracking and departmental spending in line with budgetary guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in customer service roles within hospitality, retail, or similar sectors.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership position, with a focus on managing guest-facing teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
  • Experience in scheduling, performance management, and recruitment aligned with company standards.
  • Proven ability to resolve guest issues independently and effectively.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members in a supportive manner.
  • A proactive attitude and a collaborative spirit, contributing to a culture of open communication and support.
  • Exemplary skills in guest service and front desk operations.
  • Commitment to our Property Team Mission of Customer, Consistency, and Community.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
