Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist Medicine and Infectious Diseases to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients undergoing inpatient and outpatient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compound and dispense medications for patients in accordance with medical orders and hospital policies.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Pharmacy and supervise Pharmacy Technicians and other support staff.
  • Provide clinical expertise in the area of Medicine and Infectious Diseases, including pharmaceutical care and disease state management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and provide backup support to other service lines as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Licensed Pharmacist through the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
  • Internal medicine experience and PGY1 residency.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
