Job Title: Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at VCU Health - MCV Physicians as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to children with suspected infections, complex or chronic conditions, or those requiring specialized treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services for children with infectious diseases
  • Offer phone consultation for pediatric medical professionals seeking advice on infectious disease issues
  • Review antibiotic, antiviral, or antifungal therapies, including assistance with drug monitoring for toxicities and side effects
  • Consult on epidemiologic issues in healthcare settings and the community
  • Develop and implement the Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) program at VCUHS and CHoR
Requirements:
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Diseases
  • Experience in clinical care of patients
  • Experience in an academic medical center
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters of Public Health and experience in Hospital Epidemiology and AMS
