We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist Medicine and Infectious Diseases to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Key Responsibilities- Compound and dispense medications for patients undergoing inpatient and outpatient care.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Pharmacy and supervise Pharmacy Technicians and other support members.
- Evaluate medication orders and dispense accordingly.
- Maintain and evaluate automated dispensing processes.
- Provide clinical expertise in area of service line and additional clinical programs as assigned.
- Actively participate in the provision of training and mentorship within peer group and cross-campus pharmacists in a particular service line.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary team for a particular service line and provide backup support to service lines where appropriate and as assigned.
- Bachelor's or Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
- Licensed Pharmacist through the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
- Internal medicine experience.
- PGY1.
- BLS & ACLS.
