Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist

At VCU Health - MCV Physicians, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician to join our team. As a key member of our division, you will provide exceptional clinical care to children with suspected infections, complex or chronic conditions, and those requiring specialized treatment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services for children with infectious diseases
- Offer phone consultation for pediatric medical professionals seeking advice on infectious disease issues
- Review antibiotic, antiviral, or antifungal therapies, including assistance with drug monitoring for toxicities and side effects
- Consult on epidemiologic issues in healthcare settings and the community
- Develop and implement the Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) program at VCUHS and CHoR
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Diseases
- Experience in clinical care of patients
- Experience in an academic medical center
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
- Masters of Public Health with experience in Hospital Epidemiology and AMS
