Practice Coordinator

The Practice Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day activities of our ambulatory clinics. This role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule patient appointments, including follow-up appointments, testing, and surgical bookings
- Assist with scheduling template creation and changes
- Manage phone calls, respond to patient requests, and take messages in a professional manner
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Assist with revenue cycle clearance, including registration accuracy and insurance verification
- Collect copayments and prepare medical records for patient visits
- Communicate delays to patients and providers
- Perform general clerical support duties, including billing charge entry and reconciliation
- Participate in performance improvement projects
Education: High school diploma with specialized training in business office skills preferred
Experience: 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to learn and use Tufts network programs, and knowledge of third-party billing
