Job Summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a visionary leader to oversee our Computed Tomography (CT) Department. As a key member of our Imaging Services team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage technical QA programs to ensure high-quality imaging services
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Manage protocols and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Recruit and interview new staff to build a strong and diverse team
  • Provide new employee orientation and ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations to identify areas for growth and development
  • Order supplies and manage inventory to ensure efficient operations
  • Act as a liaison between CT customers and the department to resolve issues and improve communication
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to resolve problems and improve patient satisfaction
  • Enforce policies and standards of practice to ensure a safe and effective work environment
  • Coach and discipline staff as needed to promote a positive and productive work culture
Requirements
  • Eleven (11) years of related experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area plus seven(+7) or more years of relevant experience/training
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
  • Experience and proven clinical practice knowledge with applied background in a radiology modality
  • Knowledge of terms, concepts, and protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge in an acute care setting to improve operations
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree
  • Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT))
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs
