POSITION OVERVIEW

Membership Sales Specialists are vital to the success of the organization by:

1) Meeting and surpassing membership sales and revenue targets while promoting additional services

2) Enhancing member retention and satisfaction by guiding members and guests towards programs that align with their health and fitness aspirations

3) Delivering exceptional service to members and guests, fostering a sense of community and belonging within the facility

Key Responsibilities

Drive financial success through the acquisition of new memberships and ancillary service memberships
  • Meet or exceed personal membership sales targets by generating referrals, converting inquiries into appointments, and effectively closing prospects
  • Implement and follow all steps of the sales process, including understanding the needs of potential members, presenting the value of the Browns Fit brand, leading informative tours, presenting membership options, and finalizing sales
  • Facilitate the integration of new members into personal training by scheduling introductory sessions
  • Accountable for achieving weekly and monthly sales metrics as specified in individual tracking sheets
  • Engage in weekly meetings with the Sales Manager to review sales activities
  • Proactively develop leads through various outreach methods, including community engagement, corporate visits, and special events
  • Utilize the lead management system to track all prospect and member information
  • Ensure the CRM calendar is updated and prepared for the next shift before concluding each workday
  • Complete and submit all necessary paperwork for new members on the day they join
  • Participate in membership meetings, club events, marketing initiatives, and promotional planning
  • Stay informed about competitors and leverage that knowledge to enhance club performance and results.
Foster a customer-centric environment that is welcoming, supportive, and dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for members and guests
  • Ensure outstanding customer service by cultivating a culture that prioritizes listening to members and guests, understanding their needs, and exceeding their expectations
  • Build and strengthen relationships with members, enhancing their sense of community by reaching out in person, via phone, and through email
  • Address member concerns proactively, taking ownership of issues and resolving them promptly
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of job responsibilities, company offerings, promotions, and business practices to provide accurate information to members and guests
Contribute to the smooth operation of daily activities within the clubs and the organization
  • Collaborate effectively with team members by supporting and encouraging colleagues, assisting other departments as needed, and approaching challenges with a positive, team-oriented mindset
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the company and all services and promotions
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all club software systems
  • Adhere to all club policies and procedures
  • Attend all meetings, special events, and training sessions to provide feedback and share ideas for business improvement
Perform additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities may change as needed.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time role. Your schedule will vary throughout the week based on the needs of the club, staff, and members. Hours will include peak times and may require weekend and holiday availability. All members of the sales team will be expected to work during the last two days of the month. Special events and promotions may necessitate early mornings and late evenings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of the Fitness Industry
  • Proficient with computers
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Compliance with meal and rest break policies and accurate timekeeping for shifts
2) Minimum Certifications/Education:
  • Completion of company HR training programs
3) Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Frequent typing, phone use, and computer operation
  • Regular sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs
