Sales and Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Sales and Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with customers, and promoting our engineering services and solutions.
About the Role
This position involves developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities, collaborating with the business development team to develop strategies for targeting key accounts and industries, and building and nurturing relationships with existing and prospective customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in technical sales or business development, preferably in the engineering services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify potential customers through market research, networking, trade show attendance, and outreach efforts (cold calling, email outreach, social media, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the business development team to develop strategies for targeting key accounts and industries.
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective customers to understand their needs and challenges.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase our services and solutions to prospective customers.
- Tailor presentations and proposals to address the specific requirements of each customer.
- Articulate the value proposition of our services and solutions to demonstrate their benefits and advantages.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on market analysis and customer feedback.
- Travel to trade shows and other offsite meetings as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years experience outside sales in an engineering or related professional services field.
- Experience with B2G sales.
- Proven track record of success in technical sales or business development, preferably in the engineering services industry.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex engineering concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and business development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently to achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
