About the Role

Crowne Plaza & Staybridge Suites Midtown Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and public spaces are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Oversee a team of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, house persons, and inspectors. Conduct daily and monthly meetings to ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and are meeting the required standards.
  • Staff Management: Interview, hire, train, and evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff. Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
  • Scheduling and Payroll: Arrange staff work schedules, ensuring that there are sufficient staff on duty to meet the needs of our guests. Submit payroll records and ensure that staff are paid accurately and on time.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Maintain and review computerized records to ensure that department expenses are within budget. Forecast future expenses and make recommendations to management to ensure that the department is operating efficiently.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, management, and guests to ensure that the housekeeping department is operating smoothly and that guest needs are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that guest rooms and public spaces are clean and well-maintained. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to ensure that the department is meeting the required standards.
Requirements
  • 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a comparable hotel.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals. Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
  • Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
