Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients and manages wait times
  • Completes check-in and check-out tasks, including demographic verification and insurance verification
  • Collects co-payments and issues receipts
  • Manages cashier box and daily deposits
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Manages medical records and ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with medical office processes
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Prior experience with EMR computer applications
