Job Summary

Chinatown Service Center is seeking a skilled Patient Care Coordinator to maintain smooth patient flow through effective communication and eligibility verification.

This role requires a high level of customer service, administrative skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front clinic office functions, patient scheduling, and registration, with proficiency in written and verbal English and targeted language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Process calls and forward urgent calls to appropriate personnel or department
  • Perform administrative tasks such as creating, managing, and scheduling appointments
  • Coordinate communication with colleagues and care teams using various tools
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and prepare encounter
  • Check and correct system alerts in NextGen
  • Receive patient payments and assign to correct patient accounts
  • Participate in quality improvement projects
  • Ensure complete and accurate data entry during telephone patient registration process
  • Provide general information to patients and/or customers
  • Forward patient concerns and feedback to appropriate personnel
  • Assist in data collection for Clinic Operations' performance measure
  • Make, cancel, and reschedule appointments as needed
  • Comply with HIPAA/HITECH/OSHA and CMS regulations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 Year minimum working experience in front clinic office functions, patient scheduling, and registration
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English and targeted language
  • Able to work effectively while multitasking
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
